ARRASATE ACCORDION COMPETITIONS

 

 

Hauspoz, the Town Hall of Arrasate and The County Council of Gipuzkoa call the XVII "Arrasate Hiria" International Accordion Competition, the XXX Accordion Competition of Gipuzkoa and the XXII Accordion Festival of Gipuzkoa that will take place in Arrasate-Mondragón (Basque Country) between the 4th and the 8th of december, 2009.

 

 

 

 

The competitions have a pyramidal structure, containing both age and level pedagogical aspects.

 

 

II INTERNATIONAL COMPOSITION COMPETITION "FRANCISCO ESCUDERO"

 

El pasado día 19 de septiembre de 2009 a las 20:00 h, tuvo lugar en el Salón de Plenos del Ayuntamiento de Zarautz (País Vasco) la entrega de premios de la segunda edición del Concurso Internacional de Composición "Francisco Escudero".

 

En la misma se hizo lectura del acta del jurado compuesto por Ramon Lazkano, Gabriel Erkoreka y José María Sánchez Verdú que decidieron conceder el premio a las siguientes obras:

 

• Categoría Acordeón solo

OBRA: Ceruleam Minim

COMPOSITOR: Ylva Lund Bergner (Dinamarca)

 

• Categoría Música de Cámara con acordeón

OBRA: Assur

COMPOSITOR: Mikel García (País Vasco)

 

 

Asimismo, el jurado decidió editar la obra May I really ask you a tango? del compositor italiano Mauro Agagliate por considerarla de especial interés.

 

  

COURSE OF CONTEMPORARY MUSIC FOR ACCORDION

 

The course will be given by the composers José María Sánchez Verdú and Gabriel Erkoreka. It will run from the 15th until the 18th September 2009 in Zarautz. This course will outline the pedagogical application of contemporary music.
